“The questions are the path.” YES! Yet in some circles I feel shame for questioning, as though to do so betrays a lack of faith. But how is faith possible without real questions?

Those "circles" feel threatened by questions, and so respond with shaming and judgement. But we don't have to stay in those circles. We can find a new path. This is the good news!

Our paths are unique, though they lead to the same place.

Many times I heard of the trials of Sisyphus. After his hubris got the best of him, this Greek God was relegated to pushing a boulder up a hill forever, only to have it fall..He then pushed again, and again. Many of us likened this to the human condition, forever working and solving problems in our world. Lent reminds me this is the Lord's world. Lent reminds me the spiritual battle was WON 2000 years ago. My hubris does not consign me to fighting the human condition. Whether pushing the boulder of Sisyphus or pushing my human condition, We are reminded to accept His love, everyday.
